A lit corner storefront at night with snow falling

Any hour. A person answers.

Locked out of your shop or office in Winnipeg?

Call or text us. We come any hour to storefronts, offices and warehouses, check that you're authorised to be let in, and get you open without damaging the door. You hear the price first.

You approve the price before we start. Not sure it's really us? See who's coming.

Who can a locksmith let into a business?

Only someone who can show they're authorised: the owner, a manager on the lease, or an employee the owner confirms by phone. A locksmith who opens a business door for anyone isn't one you want holding your keys.

Get open, then get secure

When a business is locked out, it's usually one of three things: keys left inside, keys walked out the door with someone, or a lock that has failed. We deal with the first problem tonight and tell you plainly what the second or third needs.

Storefronts, offices and warehouses

  • Storefront glass and aluminum doors. These usually use a narrow-stile deadlock and a cylinder that can be opened without breaking the glass.
  • Office suites. Lever locks, mortise locks and office doors with a master key. We open the one door, not the whole system.
  • Warehouses and back doors. Heavy deadbolts, padlocks and hasps, plus overhead doors. A stuck overhead door is a garage door job, and we cover those too.

We check you're authorised

Before we open a business, we need photo ID and something linking you to it: a lease, a business licence, a business card, or the owner confirming by phone. It protects you the same way it protects every other business we open for.

After hours, the price is still first

Night calls are when businesses get surprised by the bill. You hear the price before we drive out, and you approve it before we start. If it turns out bigger, we stop and ask. Our Price Promise.

Keys gone with a former employee?

Open tonight, then rekey so those keys are dead. If you're managing several doors, a master key system makes the next change simpler. For everything else, see commercial locksmith services.

Questions people ask

What proof do you need to open a business?
Photo ID plus something linking you to the business, such as a business card, a lease, a business licence, or the owner confirming by phone. If you're an employee, have the owner or manager reachable.
Can you open storefront glass doors?
Yes. Aluminum and glass storefront doors usually have a narrow-stile deadlock or a mortise lock, and most open without damage. If the cylinder or the lock is worn out, we tell you and quote the repair.
An employee left with the keys. What now?
Get in tonight, then rekey the locks so the old keys stop working. For more than a few doors, ask about a master key system so this is easier next time.
The panic bar or door closer is broken and the door won't lock. Can you help?
Yes. We can usually secure the door the same night, and we repair or replace panic bars, including lever trim and rim cylinder outside trim. See our commercial locksmith page for the full service.
